Did you know that our post has a group on Flickr.com where you can upload and post photos from events? I’m always trying to get my hands on some good pictures to post on our blog.
Thanks to Jack for our Memorial Day Parade photos from last year. This year Jack is serving in Iraq and won’t be here to enjoy the parade with his family.
This year Jack is taking his photos from Iraq.
He was kind enough to upload them to flickr so that he can share them with us.

The internet is the way that many of our soldiers keep in touch with the rest of the world, and most importantly with their families and friends. It’s an honor to get to see pictures from Iraq, taken by someone local.

These brave men and women are far away from their families, friends and the life that they know and love.

When they return home, into the welcome arms of loved ones, the memories of war often follow them.
As fellow Veterans, the VFW offers support and help.

They are our sons, brothers, daughters, sisters, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, friends and family members. Our next door neighbors. Real people putting their lives on the line so that others can live in a just society.

I was having a difficult time with my internet service (comcast was out today to fix it.) so getting the photos to line up and making changes to the content didn’t quite match up. I’ll come back to it later and reword it …. ~ Chrysti
